Instructions for accessing Little Fires Everywhere

Little Fires Everywhere  is located online or using the Libby app (on a phone or tablet) for offline reading.

For online access on a computer or device:

Before you can authenticate, here are the steps/clicks:

1. Click on Borrow
2. Click on Add Card
3. Click on Sign in with My Card
4. Click on Next
5. Sign in with Knox credentials.
6. The book will be in your possession for 7 days, unless you return it sooner. 
7. If you use the Kindle app, you can have the book sent to the Kindle app by logging in with your Amazon Kindle account credentials.

To Use the Libby App on your phone or tablet
Step 1:

Download or open Libby on your device:

• iOS devices: Apple App Store
• Android devices: Google Play
• Amazon Fire tablets: Amazon Appstore
• Windows, Mac, and Chromebooks: libbyapp.com
  Note: libbyapp.com works best in up-to-date versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.

Step 2:

In Libby, follow the prompts to find Knox College and sign in with a library card.

To find the Knox College library:

1. Go to > Add Library.
2. Find your library:
   • Use the search box to search for Knox College.

3. Tap the library to open its collection.
4. Follow the prompts at the top of the screen to add a library card. 
5. You will need to use your Knox College Username/Password and Duo authentication to access books using the Libby App.

6. If you get an error message…
   • The “Server error in “/” Application” screen is a common error associated with campus logins.
   • Click on the Cancel button
   • You should be able to get to a screen with the option to “Try Again”. Click the button and you should be successful in logging in on the second attempt without having to use login credentials.

Step 3:

Browse your library's catalog and borrow a title. You can search for “Little Fires Everywhere” or tap on the book. Note, there is both an ebook version and an audiobook version available.

Step 4:

Borrowed titles appear on your Shelf () and download to the app automatically when you're connected to Wi-Fi, so you can read them when you're offline.

On your Shelf, tap loans at the top of the screen. From there, you can:

• Tap Read With... to choose where you'd like to read the book (Kindle or Libby), then finish sending to Kindle (U.S. libraries only) or start reading in Libby.
• Tap Open In Libby, Open Magazine, or Open Audiobook to start reading or listening in the app.
• Tap Manage Loan to see options like Renew and Return.

If the book you need is checked out…

• You can place a hold on the book using the “Place Hold” button located on the screen.
• 
• You can check your hold status by going the the Shelf () icon and viewing your Holds
