Q. How long can I keep a book I borrowed from I-Share?

The loan period for I-Share books is 28 days. Items may be renewed for a maximum loan period of 112 days. When you check out I-Share materials at the circulation desk, take note the due date written on the band around the material. You may check the status of your library account and view due dates in your library account in Knox Primo.

To renew I-Share items sign into your library account in Knox Primo. View a list of what is currently checked out to you--both Knox Library materials and those materials you have borrowed through I-Share--in your library account. Click on your name in the upper right and choose "My Loans." You may also renew items through your library account. To renew:

1. In the left column, click on the filter "Has Activity":

2. Click on the name of an institution to view the items you have checked out from the institution.

3. Click on RENEW next to an item.

Note: To see the maximum renewal date for an item find the item in the list of items you have checked out in your library account.

Please note that when you attempt to renew items the renewals are not always automatic. Check the messages given for the new date(s) and for any other information indicating the renewal attempt was not successful.

If you are unable to login in to your library account, please contact the Circulation Desk (309) 341-7246 or email reference@knox.edu.
