Q. What is Tipasa?

Tipasa ILL Basics

Tipasa ILL is a system that allows Knox College faculty, staff, and students to request materials from thousands of libraries in the United States (and around the world). You can use Tipasa ILL to request:

  • Articles
  • Books not available via I-Share.
  • Non-print materials (DVDs, videotapes, audio, microfilm)

Tipasa ILL Policies

  • All Tipasa ILL materials must be picked up and returned at the circulation desk in Seymour Library.
  • Lending periods and renewals are dictated by the lending library. Request a renewal through your Tipasa account. Keep the item until you receive an email notification that states whether the renewal was approved or denied by the lending library.
  • Films obtained via Tipasa cannot be place on Reserve.
  • Articles are sent as pdfs and are yours to keep.
  • Failure to return Tipasa loans (physical books, DVDs, etc.) on time may result in being blocked from using the Tipasa interlibrary loan service.
